  • This refers to the new battery-powered camera models launched by EZVIZ in 2024, and the list currently includes: EB5 4K, CB5 4K, BC1c 4K, EB3 (AOV version), CB3 (AOV version), EB3 4G, and CB2 4G. This list will grow as EZVIZ continues to launch more models in the future. Please refer to your camera model’s user manual and its device page on the EZVIZ App for final details on the availability of the AOV mode. For the early versions of the EB5 4K, CB5 4K and BC1c 4K, users need to upgrade their related cameras to the latest firmware to use the full AOV functions.
  • Please note that the terminology “all-day recording” is not the same as traditional non-stop 24/7 continuous recording. When the AOV mode is enabled, the camera will wake up at time intervals preset by the user, even if no motion/activity is detected, to take snapshots and automatically generate a time-lapse video based on the snapshots to show the passing of time in the monitored environment. When the camera detects an activity, it starts to record a normal speed detection video and returns to time-lapse recording mode after the activity ends. With these two types of videos, the user can replay a full day with a plenty of footages. Please note that, the current AOV mode on the above mentioned cameras only supports generating time-lapse videos at HD resolution. For new AOV-supported battery cameras that EZVIZ will launch in the future, the resolution of the AOV time-lapse video will be upgraded to the max. resolution of the camera lens.
  • Currently, the standalone “Time-lapse” physical button is only available on the indoor camera model CB2 4G. For other AOV-supported models, users cannot manually choose to only film time-lapse videos.
  • To enable video recording and auto-saving under the AOV mode, a compatible microSD card is required to be inserted onto the camera, which needs an additional purchase. Please check the product page for more details on the storage options.
  • Based on EZVIZ Lab’s testing results under standard conditions, under AOV mode, the outdoor battery camera’s detection distance is 25 meters during day time and 12 meters at night, and the indoor battery camera’s detection distance is 20 meters during day time and 12 meters at night. When on normal mode with PIR-based detection, most camera models have a detection distance of up to 9 meters. Actual use may vary due to environmental factors.
  • Data from EZVIZ Lab’s test results, under standard conditions while the key functions are set as follows: the BC1c 4K camera has a preset AOV interval of 60 seconds, and only enables IR night vision without the use of spotlights, while recording normal-speed detection video for up to 300 seconds per day. Actual use may vary due to environmental factors, frequency of camera activities and use of different camera functions.
  • Data from EZVIZ Lab’s test results, under the following standard condition: AM=1.5 , 25°C, 1000W/m², SMQ. The data is obtained based on 2 hours effective sunlight per day and an AOV interval set at auto. Actual charging efficiency and battery use may vary due to the frequency of camera activities and other environmental factors.
  • Data from EZVIZ Lab’s test results, under the following conditions and camera settings: 1) When on AOV mode, the BC1c 4K camera has a preset AOV interval of 60 seconds to generate time-lapse videos (HD resolution), and triggers 300 seconds of normal-speed detection videos (Ultra HD resolution) per day, while using only IR night vision without spotlights. The max. days of video that can be stored onto a 64 GB microSD card is 280 days. 2) When on 24/7 plug-on mode, the BC1c 4K camera continues to record 4K Ultra HD videos at all times, and the max. days of video that can be stored onto a 64 GB microSD card is 2.4 days. Actual use may vary due to frequency of camera activities, use of different camera functions, and other environmental factors.
  • When the camera is set to the "Time-lapse" mode, it will stop all detection-based camera features (e.g. detection videos, detection alerts, etc.) and only record time-lapse videos. A compatible microSD card is required for the “Time-lapse” mode.
